The installation „Bögen“ (arches) (2012) in Stadtbad Oderberger Straße in Berlin refers to the architecture and to the light conditions within the building. The rooms were temporarily converted into a photographic laboratory using daylight to expose photographic paper, which was developed in different stages. The sheets of paper, diagonally folded, record the vaults in the exhibition space and due to the monochrome surfaces, appear metallic and object-like. These surfaces stand in contrast to the patina of the unrenovated historical architecture. Additionally, the metal stands in the installation remind us of panels, a reference to the buildings current use as a school as well as an exhibition space.
